The 10th annual Careers UAE fair started on Sunday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre
The exhibition brought more than 100 national and international companies under one roof for job seeking EmiratisA prominent feature at this year's fair is the segmentation of companies into 10 sectors which include banking, finance, government, private, oil and gas, trade and telecommunications.
Newcomers to the fair include Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and the Gulf Energy Maritime and National Rehabilitation Centre.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, cuts the ceremonial ribbon to formally open Careers UAE.
Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture, visits the event.
Shaikh Hamdan indicated the importance of appointing Emiratis, the holders of secondary and preparatory school certificates in the administrative jobs at the civic body to encourage them to complete their studies.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, stressed the municipality's keenness to participate in the career fair to streamline its strategy to rehabilitate citizens and employ them in suitable jobs.
Careers UAE takes place in Zabeel Halls one and two at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, women only on Monday and Tuesday from 10am to 1pm.

Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) is the most important and established event of its kind in the Middle East region and Indian subcontinent.
DIBS, said to be one of the world's top five international boat shows, received 25,000 visitors last year. Organisers are expecting a similar turnout this year.
